Angel corner, Leith Links
IR image made with Lifepixel modified camera. A combination of three RAW images captured with the aid CHDK firmware. Converted to DNG format and processed in Lightroom. The resulting images were processed in Elements using the Panorama tool - then cropped and reversed for mirror image.

About Me
- Name: David Bird
- Location: Edinburgh, Midlothian, United Kingdom
Studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, completing a four year degree course in Fine Art in the department of Drawing and Painting in 1986. During the foundation year at Art College I was introduced to 35mm film photography and given the opportunity to learn developing and printing techniques. I really enjoyed these classes and was lucky enough to be taught by Joseph McKenzie, regarded by many as the ‘Father of Modern Scottish Photography’. I have continued to be interested in photography ever since - and now enjoy exploring the creativity possible using digital techniques. Photography has renewed my wonder in the detail found in nature - it always challenges your preconceptions and constantly surprises you with its beauty.
